I'm back...

Hello faithful blog readers, I'm back!

What a whirlwind the last 2 weeks have been for me. I'll attempt to write a little on what all has been going on.

TATUM...

In light of my last entry, I wanted to update you a little on this sweet girl. I was able to meet her for lunch at her school the Thursday before we left for our cruise, which was a huge blessing. We spent a good hour talking about her situation and the options she has. She is such a sweet girl, I can't say that enough. Apparently, her mom is really pushing for abortion because she is certain that having the baby would "ruin all of their lives." Tatum told me very specifically that she did not want to have an abortion. Please continue to pray that the Lord will give her strength to stand up to her mother and make the right decision. As far as I know, she still has not made any decisions. I'm still trying to keep in contact with her, but as you know from my last entry, it is very difficult. Keep praying for God to soften her mother's heart, for peace for Tatum and for guidance for me to continue to minister to her.

FEFE REUNION

OK, quick story for those of you who do not know what a Fefe is. When I was in college at UMHB, we did not have sororities. So, my group of girlfriends decided we wanted to make our own unofficial sorority. We named it Beta Fefe Pi. (βfπ) We went all out...had t-shirts, bumper stickers, socials, Bible studies, officers, etc. We even had a "faculty sponsor." It was a BLAST. My second year, most of us lived in a dorm that had 3 bedrooms and three bathrooms (two to a room), in a "flat" that shared a living room and kitchen. Thats right, 6 of us in one flat. This is when most of my fefe memories took place...lots of fun, ER visits due to random injuries, tears over boys, girl drama, late night cleaning parties, etc. In all, there were around 30 of us by the time I graduated. Well, since graduation, we all kind of scattered and decided we needed to plan a reunion. It took place the Saturday before we left on our cruise, and ALL of the original fefe's (except 1...we missed you Kerri!) came!! It was so good to see everyone.

Juls, me, Claire and Regan

Flat #4!!! These were the 5 girls I lived with:

me, Gina, Lauren, Maria, Maegan and Kourtney

me, Maegan and Sarah

Many of the girls still live in the Temple area, which I am so excited about since I will be moving back there in 1 year!! What's even more exciting is that one of the fefe's, Chelsea, is a recruiter in the HR department at Scott and White hospital in Temple!!! (this is where both Will and I are hoping to get jobs). Most of them also go to our church in Temple (Temple Bible Church), so we're hoping to reconnect when we move.

CRUISE!

Wow, it was amazing!! As many of you know, I was VERY worried about getting sick on the cruise, and in light of the storm that was passing through the gulf, I was even more worried. BUT, none of us got sea sick!! Thank you Jesus for scopolamine patches :) They saved us. There were a few unpleasant side effects (dry, cotton mouth and blurry vision), but it was so worth it. We had a blast, and most importantly, my dad LOVED it!!! Everything about the cruise was just fabulous. We had such a great time together. God definitely had His hand in all of it. I will post pictures soon.

DOGGIES

Just a quick funny story. I took the dogs home for my mom to keep them while we were cruising, and Gracie got the stomach virus. Bella made the mistake of snuggling up to Gracie (butt first of course). Let's just say my mom had to bathe both of them after Gracie had an "episode." hehe...I sure did miss them though!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST...

HAPPY 51st ANNIVERSARY MER AND PAW-PAW!

Thats right...today is my grandmother and paw-paw's anniversary. I love and miss you Paw-Paw, and Mer, I love you and I'm praying for you today. We all miss him, especially on days like today.

I remember when both of these pictures were taken and they are very happy memories. Thank you so much Kyrbie. Your Paw-Paw loved you very much. You were very special to him. "His serious little girl who always cared so much and never wanted anyone to be unhappy." How did we ever get so lucky for God to give you to us. I love you "Light of my Life".
